Cibola Vista Resort & Spa: A Bluegreen Associate’s Review

You like to vacation. Enjoying a vacation every year is an amazing thing. Letting loose and being carefree is something you need in order to keep your mind, body, and soul healthy. Whether you bike and hike, shop ’til you drop, or relax and unwind, you know all you have to do is hop online or give us a call to make your next vacation memory. You also know we have your vacation style in mind when you talk with us because we see your reservation history.

So we know you like to take time away from home. We know where you’ve visited. But how much do you know about us? The truth is, we enjoy getting out and exploring new locations and finding our perfect vacation, just like you.

We’d like you to meet Kenneth Cox. He is one of our Customer Service Supervisors. He started with Bluegreen in 2006 as a customer service representative, or “Vacation Specialist.” Chances are you’ve probably enjoyed a conversation or two with him somewhere along the way. He and his wife love to travel and experience new areas, or discover new things at their favorite destinations.

Kenneth just returned from a beautiful vacation at Cibola Vista Resort & Spa in Arizona. Here is his story:

My visit to Cibola Vista started with takeoff at 6:00 am east coast time. We landed in Phoenix at 7:30 am west coast time. Immediately we could feel the variation in the weather from the Ohio Valley to the heart of Arizona as we started towards the baggage area. Our stay was for a week of fun and adventure.

As we drove to the resort from the airport, my wife commented that Phoenix was one of the cleanest cities we had ever visited. I totally agreed. It was really inviting! As we approached the resort, it was more beautiful than all of the pictures we saw on the web. The grounds were so awesome with that rustic ‘Old West’ feel. My mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law and her boyfriend met us at the resort shortly after we checked in so we could all enjoy a family vacation together. Once we were settled into our unit, we trekked down to the pool for lunch and a swim. The pool was really refreshing. It was a perfect way to relax on the first day of our trip!

During our week at Cibola we drove to Lake Pleasant, which is only about twenty minutes away. I highly recommend going there for lunch or a romantic dinner with your special one. On Wednesday they have a pretty cool dinner show, which was called a Cowboy Cookout. The show was fun for both the kids and adults and the BBQ was delicious. One of the highlights of our trip was when we all hit the trails horseback riding – totally awesome for all of us wannabe cowboys and cowgirls. Another one was buying my sweetheart some hand crafted silver jewelry from some of the nearby Native American Reservations.

Friday, we were off to enjoy the spectacular landscape of the red rock formations in Sedona. This adventure was the best part of the entire trip…hands down. The drive was just as relaxing and beautiful as we were told. We are now planning our next trip to Arizona. We’re going next year and plan to lodge at Cibola Vista again. Some of the things that we did not get to experience during this trip, we are going to experience next year. We want to take a hot-air balloon ride and visit the Heard Museum, as well as the Phoenix area. There’s great shopping, National Parks, and a great urban food scene and nightlife. Yeah, we can’t wait to go back, that’s for sure!

But wait, Kenneth has one more thing to share with you.

“You’ve got Points to use. We want you to use them. We are here to help you get the most out of what you’ve got. Go online to Bluegreen Online or give us a call.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
